Born with Green Thumbs

I’m certain both of my parents were born with “green thumbs” and a serious love of God’s creation around them. Each home that they’ve ever lived in has been graced by the touch of their green thumbs and their love of nature. The house they live in now, however, has been blessed the most I think. Take a look at the photos I took the last time I visited.

While I believe I was born with a natural love of God’s creation, I was not born with green thumbs! It seems everything they touch outside turns out beautiful! Thank you Mom and Dad for sharing your green thumbs and most of all your love of nature!

Beautiful! And I think you’ve gussied up your blog since the last time I was actually here (rather than reading in a reader). Looks great!

Thanks for stopping by Jamie! And yes, I’ve been working having fun with the design of my blog!

You weren’t kidding about your parent’s home. It is gorgeous! Now if Sammie ever gets to see your parent’s place, she is going to pester me to do the same. I already have my response ready, “Are ya kidding me?”

What an awesome oasis to visit and play for your kids and yourself. Very inspiring!
Thanks for sharing. Your dad is so nice too! :)

Hi Anna! Yes it is an oasis there. We’d love to take you all there to enjoy it too! I’m very blessed with my parents, they are super Christian people. And my Dad enjoyed meeting you too!

  5. Your blog looks really cute! I LOVE your parents yard. It is so tranquil looking. I would love to know how they keep such sharp edges on their flower bed borders. Is there a secret to that other than daily toil and sweat? :)

just dreamy! I too love the new blog look!

Hi Leslie! Thanks for the compliment on my new blog design. As far as how my parents keep such sharp edges, their answer was by using a straight-edged shovel to cut sharp edges first and then keeping the grass around it trimmed with a trimmer. So, yeah, I guess that’s toil and sweat!

Hi Amanda! Thanks for your compliment on my new blog design! It feels like I’m decorating my house, only no children can destroy it. :)

*sigh* Me too. But perhaps one day I will learn enough to make up for my lack of natural talent.

Hi Jenn! You can definitely learn enough to be good/great at anything! It just takes more effort than those who are “born” with the gift. :)
