A Snowdrop for a Honeybee

Today we took a nature walk at a local park to hunt for early signs of spring. If you’d like to read more about that and see all our photos, head over to my post at Shining Dawn Books! But I just had to share this photo here of a beautiful Snowdrop flower we found. And if you look close you’ll see the rear-end of a little honeybee sticking out of the bottom. Now that’s a sure sign of Spring!

Great! I was doing the same thing today since in finally thawed a bit. The snowdrops are blooming and my bees are on them! Time to rejoice the rebirth!
Oh wow, there is a little bee bottom there! Our snow is finally melting with all the rain and warmer temps we’ve had this last week. We have lots of standing water and lots of mud!
I don’t think I’ve visited your new site, we’ve had a rough go lately with lots of changes and no time for blog reading. I’m looking forward to getting caught up and getting back to the joy of homeschooling that has been missing last year.
We have been enjoying ourselves outside as well. I love this photo. My daughter asked me if it was “bee season” yet and I said as soon as we see blossoms. I am looking forward to seeing some here soon. I think we are a few weeks behind your neck of the woods. Which reminds me how much I enjoy traveling up north to see my husband’s mom who lives on Lake Michigan in Indiana. I love to see how their spring lags behind us. I hope to visit soon.
