Stargazing
We drove several hours this past weekend to visit my sister-in-law, Maria, and her family. We had such an awesome weekend. We had a really great day on Saturday including a bonfire (with S’mores of course) and a little stargazing. It was unfortunately pretty cloudy that night, but we were able to see the moon really clear. How cool! You could see the detail of the craters. Their family is really into stargazing, they own a couple very large telescopes. The one you see in the pictures is their small one!
We are studying Astronomy this year through the Apologia Science curriculum, and are enjoying it so much. Upon finding this out, Maria graciously gave up one of their older smaller telescopes to have and use! We are so excited to start doing a little of our own stargazing! She even gave us two big Astronomy books to use along with it! Thanks you guys!
